Continuing Care Assistant
McKenzie College recognizes the need to train people as Continuing Care Assistant positions across the province of Nova Scotia. With our aging demographic, there is currently a shortage of trained people who can work with clients needing assistance in long term care facilities. In addition to the recognized demand, there are a shortage of training opportunities for people interested in a career in this field of health care.
What makes our program unique?
Our CCA training program is based the provincial standard for CCA program delivery. Our location in Port Hawkesbury is a convenient central point in the Strait Area from which to deliver this program.
The McKenzie College CCA Course is available in our Campus at 811 Reeves, Street, Port Hawkesbury. Our Port Hawkesbury location opens up convenient training opportunities for residents of Inverness, Richmond and Guysborough and Antigonish Counties. Our program is positioned to work with the long term care facilities within the proximity of the Strait-Richmond area to train staff prepared to assist them in their various facilities.
